Our Location: Poole Harbour is one of the most beautiful areas in the U.K, there aren't many places in the world where you can go from calm serenity of the western end of the harbour, to the heavily traffic of the port area, National Trust nature reserves, the award winning beaches of Sandbanks / Studland Bay and iconic Old Harry Rocks on the Jurassic Coast in one day! Putting that aside we also have mind-blowing learning opportunities by having nearly every type of buoy, a variety of marinas to practice our close quarter handling (whilst checking out the beautiful new build Sunseekers) along with sheltered areas down Wareham River and behind Brownsea Island. Our Training Craft: With a range of Powerboat and Jetski's we can offer you the best from your day. We have carefully selected the type of training craft we use to ensure we can best suit the needs of all our students. With a 6m single engine Humber Destroyer RIB (2019 model), 7.4m Twin Engine exRNLI Atlantic 75 RIB (with Yamaha outboard engines), Yamaha Waverunner Jetski's with the new Yamaha RiDE control system (2020 models) and a manual Yamaha Waverunner for those looking to purchase a more reasonably priced jetski in the future we feel that our craft offer the best quality for your learning.
Value for Money: If you're looking for the cheapest course available, then we are not the school for you. We pride ourselves on offering competitive course prices for the highest standard of training and use of some of the best equipment available for training. Our 8 RYA Powerboat Instructor Trainers have 10+ years of experience running instructor training, our Principal started running instructor training in 2004! During your course you will use two contrasting powerboats; our 7.4m twin engine exRNLI Atlantic RIB and 6m single engine Humber RIB offering you the ability to experience two varied types of boats and engine set ups. Unlike other training centre's who run all their training on small RIBs, completing your course with us allows you to be as prepared as possible for your future powerboat instructor career whether it be school boat or own boat tuition. But it doesn't stop there.. we pride ourselves on offering support even after you have completed your course whether that be in preparation for teaching your first course or skills development in the future.
RYA Jetski (PWC) instructor Courses:

Our 7 RYA PWC Instructor Trainers have 10+ years of experience running instructor training, our Principal is the author of the RYA Personal Watercraft Handbook and specialises in PWC activities so we can guarantee a specialist knowledge in this sector.
If you work or are looking to work on Superyacht's then it may be good to know that the bulk of our Trainers spend a large portion of each year running onboard training to Superyacht crew therefore can offer you advice and guidance on the route forward.
In addition to the above, as we are supported by Yamaha UK 2/3 of our Yamaha Waverunners are 2020 models therefore you have access to the newest RiDE technology available on the market which allows you to be best prepared for your future PWC instruction..

Our team hold the highest RYA qualifications in their fields; as an example, RYA Powerboat courses are run by RYA Instructor Trainers who have both International and Commercial certificates. They also have a minimum of 10 years full time experience delivering RYA training.
Are the staff experienced in training in a variety of countries and environments?
Our staff spend minimum of 50% of their working time each year facilitating overseas training, throughout Europe and further afield such as Bermuda, Florida, Caribbean etc

How much experience do the RYA PWC trainers have running 'onboard' Superyacht specific training?
Our management staff have been involved with onboard RYA training since it's inception in 2007. All our other staff have a minimum of 2 years experience of running onboard training. We will NEVER send an unaccompanied 'yacht newbie' onboard.
Do the staff have an understanding of Yacht etiquette?
We all had to start somewhere; but after 8 years of running onboard training courses; we are confident that our staff will always be polite and appropriate. We know that each Yacht operates slightly differently and therefore our staff will always take the lead from the Crew onboard.
Why are the course prices set as they are?
Unlike many other businesses within the Superyacht Industry; we do not perceive you as a 'cash cow'; instead we simply see you as another way to educate new crew and guests in water safety and enjoyment. Our course prices for training are 'fixed' so there are no hidden extras; dependant on where your training takes place will dictate additional costs for travel/accomdoation; we will always be absolutely transparent when making these arrangements and will ALWAYS find the most reasonable and cost effect travel/accomodation options.
